  Subsidized English translations of essays for the exhibition catalogue of "ISAMU WAKABAYASHI: Flying Leaves and Oscillation."

  Isamu Wakabayashi (1936-2003) started his career as a sculptor after graduating from the Department of Sculpture, Tokyo University of the Arts. He also taught at Musashino Art University and Tama Art University, among other places, while creating his own works. Unlike previous retrospective exhibitions, this exhibition focused on the surroundings and spatial issues of Wakabayashi's works.
  The valuable works and materials were collected through meticulous research by the curators of the five participant museums. The catalogue would be one of the most valuable materials for international readers since literature and essays on Wakabayashi have rarely been published in English.
