This anthology contains the research articles based on the talks at the symposium “Avan-garde and Typography” held on November 4, 2023 at YOKOTA TOKYO (co-organized by YOKOTA TOKYO and JCRI). The book also includes three articles that concerns the design archives both in Japan and abroad. Commemorating the establishment of Design History Research Center Tokyo (DHRCTokyo) by Toshino Iguchi (Professor Emerita at Saitama University Graduate School and Director of JCRI), DHRCTokyo and JCRI jointly published this book with full-color illustrations.
